Romantic or stupid idea?

Okay, I have a question, I have a huge crush on someone who works at this store I frequent. Every time I go there, I get in their line and we chat for a little while. I haven’t gotten up the nerve to ask them out yet, for fear of rejection I guess. Which is a problem I’ve never had before, so that’s strange.

Anyway, here’s the question with Valentines Day approaching I got the idea to send flowers anonymously, I would have the card read from a secret admirer. Problem is in order to do this FTD requires a full name, and of course I don’t know that. Does anyone have a clue to this dilemma I’m having.

Although, my best friend advised me not to take this approach, because this person might get the wrong idea about me, like maybe I’m some sorta crazy stalker or something. I thought it would be a sweet gesture. Any advice or opinions out there to help me out here. It would be appreciated.

I don't know about this idea. Valentines day is kind of intimate for some people, and flowers on a special day might be too much, too soon. Something more whimsical and less sentimental would probably be much better. Believe it or not, receiving flowers from a total stranger can feel threatening in some cases. Maybe a little heart shaped candle with the secret admirer note?
Reply:Put yourself in your crushed one's shoes and act as you would want to be treated. Valentine's Day can be a headache for attractive people who work with the public. Of course no matter what you take some risk, but no risk no gain. I would deliver a single red rose personally (not have it delivered).
Reply:i think its romantic. you should try to do it. but if your worried about what your friend said, just add a note mentioning breifly that although youre a stranger, you really do enjoy the small talk that's exchanged. and as for the name part.... hmmm.... maybe ask one of the other employees there. lie and say that you want to leave a note for her manager to tell him/her about the great employee they have. and if you go through with it, bonus points for you when she finds out it was you. think about it.
Reply:she wouldnt think your a creep, but guess what women especially if theyr cute get hit on all day long, so if you took that approach she might think it came from someone else, i dated a girl and some dude did that exact same thing and she assumed it was me, i played along as well and scored that night, instead just buy the flowers and deliver them yourself, get the biggest batch with the most ballons you can afford, girls will be comparing who gets the most in theyr own mind, hand her an envelope with a nice card and a couple of movie tickets thatll get you to the next level, and take your relationship slow
Reply:It depends if you really think this person actually likes you. If I wasn't interested in anyone at the moment and got random anonymous flowers, I'd freak. But If I liked someone, and I got flowers I'd get all giddy. If you think this person might actually find you cute, fun or something, then go for it.
Reply:Sweetie, buy a flower and deliver it yourself. He/she will be much more impressed.
