I got nothing, not even a Happy V Day. Actually, I got a "V's day is pathetic!" from my husband after I told him how sweet it was when I saw all those men lined up in the candy and flower shop stores scrambling at the last minute to get their loved ones something.

Anyone else not get anything for Valentine's Day?
we decided not to get sucked into it all this year, i honestly hate the idea of my man feeling forced into getting cards/flowers just because all the card companies say so, so i told him not to and we had a lovely night with a bottle of wine (or 3 haha).
He often surprises me throughout the year with flowers and gifts when i least expect it, i love it more that way :)
Reply:Me. But my husband didn't get anything either.
Reply:I got the love and affection from my husband I get it everyday! I got material things too but really those are just things. Does your hubby love you? Do you feel loved? IF you do then quit getting upset that you didn't get a box of crap.
Reply:No..I got a ruby and diamond necklace and we went to the movies and had dinner.
Reply:I got some little candies from people at work, but my husband and I used last year's cards. We were both lazy about it.
Reply:I got nothing from my husband.
Reply:I got Bon Jovi tickets and homemade dessert-chocolate covered strawberries. Yum. My fiance is great.
Sorry:(
Reply:I didn't get anything either. It's not the material things that matter, but what hurts is that someone doesn't even take the time to write "Happy Valentine's Day" on a card or at least say it! There's really no excuse for that kind of laziness. If he's really against the whole thing on principal, he should explain that in advance so at least you won't be expecting something and be disappointed. A little communication wouldn't hurt!
Reply:He took me out to lunch, watch a movie, took me shopping and let me choose a gift and he is cooking me dinner tonight. He is so sweet.
Reply:My boyfriend and I agreed not to do anything.
In my opinion, Valentine's Day is just another day. Expressing your love on one day does not make up for the rest of the year.
Reply:I got taken out to lunch and also a E card online that he found for free. hehehehe, but hey it was better than nothing. All he got from me was a new pair of victoria's secret panties that I bought and let him remove. lol.
Reply:Got her wine,stuffed bear,candles,dessert,flowers.
I got a smile in return. Guess it was worth it.
Reply:I understand what you are saying, but "we" don't make a "big deal" out of it either. We show our Love for each other Everyday! We don't need to "buy things" ONE Extra Day each year. Christmas, Anniversary and Birthdays are Plenty.
Reply:Darling, you shouldn't measure how much your husband loves you by the amount of gifts he buys you. I really wish people would stop putting so much into a dumb date on the calender. The 14th of February is just another day of the year %26amp; doesn't mean that you're entitled to a gift. Celebrate your love and relationship EVERYDAY. Small, kind, and sweet gestures should really be enough: a back rub, a sweet note written in dry erase marker that's waiting on your mirror when you get out of the shower, cleaning up after himself, telling you how beautiful you are.....
Learn to appreciate the little things. Those dumb material things on valentines day really aren't that important. Do you really need a pink teddy bear that says "I love you" on its belly to prove to yourself that your husband really does love you?
Now, if he's not a good husband every other day of the year....then yeah, you've got room to complain, hehe.
Smile...I'm sure your hubby loves you a lot. Don't put so much pressure on him for a silly holiday. :)
Reply:My husbands B-Day is 2 days before V-day ... I NEVER get anything!!
Reply:Me!
But then again, I would rather give that receive.
Reply:nothing
Reply:No.....I got a doz red roses, a cute teddy bear and a Happy V-Day Balloon, a book about observations of true Love (so sweet) and a HUGE box of chocolates in a red velvet keepsake box....I spent the better part of the day baking and decorating heart shaped sugar free cookies (he's diabetic %26amp; I'm a retired professional baker-what a combo lol) for him ( I had already purchased sugar free chocolates for him)..and I sent a custom made e-mail card to him (he's a DBA with a multi-international accounting firm)....then when he got home from work we got all dressed up and went to Olive Garden for dinner...then back home we snuggled on the sofa eating the cookies and taking sips of Bailey's on the rocks with a splash of Godiva liqueur, and reading the book he gave me......and there's more but that's for him and me to know and all you guys to wonder about lol....not bad for two middle aged ol'farts (57 %26amp;54) lol.......
