I'm doing all different color flower centerpieces for each table. What color linens?

So my mom came up with this awesome idea (which I love), to have a different kind and color of flower on each table, ie red tulips on one, pink lilies on the other, yellow gerber daisies on another, etc. She wants to make photo place cards, with a picture of each flower on the place card so that way people can visually see what table they are seated at, and it eliminates the whole "table numbering" mess.

My main wedding color is purple, and the reception hall provides colored linens. Originally, I wanted lavender tablecloths with royal purple napkins, but feel like that might look weird with the different colored flowers.

So my question is: should I use cream tablecloths with royal purple napkins instead, so the bright colored flowers really pop? Also, the reception hall uses our table centerpieces to line the aisle for the ceremony (they go on little column stands, very pretty). Will it look weird if they're all different colors?

What a creative idea! I'm sure it will look amazing.

I think the cream linens with purple napkins would allow the flowers to stand out while creating a cohesive look and tying into your wedding color scheme.

I think the different colored flowers lining the aisle will look lovely. So much more interesting than the identical arrangements you see at every other wedding.

Congrats!
Reply:No your flowers will look beautiful along the aisle and very contrived.

As for your reception I would go for the cream tablelinen and the purple napkins, providing that this is the colour theme for you if not then go for the lighter lavender if this is nearer the theme colour.

The flowers being all different wont matter at all on the tables, flowers are so pretty in their own right that each table will look amazing.

Good luck.
Reply:What about using black linens?? That would really make the color of the flowers pop! I am using black linens with my different color flower centerpieces, we did a test run with them and it looked amazing! I think it would look great to have the different colors at the ceremony, it will look really neat in pictures too!
Reply:Definitely go with cream for the tablecloths. Lavender %26amp; purple together with the other colors is just going to be overkill. I'm really not sure about the aisle though. I think that would look sort of discombobulated. Can you just pick your favorite flower %26amp; go with that?
Reply:I would keep your table linens simple and clean--stick with cream colored linens (including napkins) so as to not compete with your centerpieces and be overkill. With your centerpieces providing such color, I would not set up anything on the tables to compete with them--this will not only make them pop, but will look classier.
Reply:White or off-white. It goes with everything.
Reply:i would
