Do you like this story below and what grade and vocabulary do you think it is.?

It was summer and a girl named Meena lived with her parents. She lived in a house near a narrow river in Minnesota. Meena was 7 years old and was very benevolent and thoughtful.

A little path right next to meena’s house led to a river and above the river was a small brown wooden bridge. Then on the other side of the river, there were fields of rice and mustard, sugarcane and maize. The fields belonged to meena’s grandparents.

The little path continued winding this way and that, broad here and narrow there, until there came a tall mound and beyond the mound and no knew what was their except Meena’s grandparents. They said that they met each other in that forest.

They were Surviving for their lives in the dreadful forest. The wild creatures were having a battle in the jungle. As her grandparents described how it was meena listened in excitement but back in her mind she did not believe that. She truly wanted to go in the forest and see what was there.

Since Meena was the only girl she played, all by her in the garden filled with trees, flowers, and many other creatures like butterflies, birds and many other living things. They loved gardening as much as their child .It was like a celebration in their house when a flower bloomed or fruits began to ripen. Meena loved the garden just as much as her parents did. She watered it everyday and cleaned it too.

Many birds visited their garden every day. There were even bees and butterflies. However, a butterfly always caught Meena’s eyes. It was orange and blacked winged beauty. She named him Kristin, because she once had a friend named that and he moved. She could never catch him, though she wished she could. Meena wished she could have him as a pet, but her parents did not agree. Kristin was couldn’t see her lonely and he felt bad for her so one day, when Meena was trying to catch him.

He led her to the magic jungle wherever animal acted like a human. In the jungle, leaves were dancing on the grass and the trees were bowing to the wind as it slammed against the trees like a axe swinging right against it. When meena was walking through the bright forest there were sounds that freaked her out. Boom, roar! She was scared but she continued through the bright forest when it is becoming darker each second. After a long, a time Kristin stopped and looked at meena. Meena was changing she was getting wings like an angel and little pointy sticks like antennas. she was feeling something happening and then she heard what Kristin was trying to say. He was trying to say as best as he can that he was going to give her three wishes then she thought what she wanted and when she was thinking her wish was approved. said" dear my friend Meena,The two leftover wishes she did not wish but she save them if she needed them. Then she walked by herself and alone, and felt very grownup as she did so. Meena’s feet carried her until she reached the hill. She climbed on and on until she suddenly realized that she was tired and sweaty and thirsty, so she rested for a while a she sat under the stone under a tree. It was so restful there that she began to doze and fell a sleep for a little while. As soon as she woke up, she knew she was hungry and it was 6 days after she went to the jungle in the magical prophesy you will not get hungry when you are in the magical jungle until 6 days! Meena then jumped up and called Kristin and he led her home. Kristin did not come at first but then meena remembered what he had said and called him in his language and shouted. Boom! Kristin came out of the white smoke like an angel. After a while, he came and took her home. When she got home there were six babies sitting in her room and ripping every thing she had and even her sketchbooks. The whole house was messy. Meena couldn’t’ stand it her room was messy and she could not even see her mother anywhere. Meena was afraid, so she ran down to the jungle to find Kristin. When she got there, she was disappointed, because she could not even find Kristin. Meena returned to the house. When she got there, they were packing everything and they had to move away and built a house with everything that is 365. At the end of the year every one was tired even Meena. Half of the babies did not even get a name. Meena got so tired that when she went visit her grandparents where Meena used to live. It was still pretty and did not have any noises in there. She felt so relaxed but she got up and went to the jungle again. She had found Kristin near a huge tree with the rainbow colors. Meena came up to him and said what you were doing when I called you last time. Kristin replied in sad voice that there was a battle going on in their planet z and he was fighting in it. It was very sad and cruel he would say occasionally. When he was getting into the interesting part there was a call that freaked meena out. Kristin ran over and meena was following him by running. It was his mother and she had announced that his father had died in the cruel war. Kristin got into tears when he heard that. Meena cheered him up by telling about how she had found this treasure map about the death land and the script with it. Kristin and meena set off to an adventure to get Kristin’s father back. In their way there, they have met many fierce dragons and many other zombies. they all faced it and went to the last place where all the people that died in a battle died in books and Kristin quickly found his father and used some of his magic to get his father back and it worked. When he came out of the book like toy popping up it came. Thank you my dear friend I would never forget it again some had said .then she said to him that she wanted only wanted three sisters and one brother and went of to her house. Something was coming with huge voices and ears. It was tapping on her and trying to push her. She got scared and she tried to kick and do anything to protect her. Moreover, line was repeated every time “it’s me, wake up.” Finally, there was water all over her face and opened her eyes. It was her mother and she was dreaming the whole thing. It was weird she dreamed where she lived and how many brothers and sisters she had. ”it was all a dream just a dream including you me those children that road and that butterfly, this was just a dream that never happened”, repeated meena.

The story is.. interesting. I mean.. it's obvious that the author (probably you) has a fairly creative mind. Overall, I thought it was merely.. "ok." The story failed to pull me in. Nonetheless, there are many grammatical errors. I'd say a student that was in middle school wrote this. 6th-7th grade, probably. If you're older, don't be offended, sorry.
Reply:I would say Grade 6
Reply:I like the story. I graduated with an Education degree and would give it to 5th graders.
