What's the best way to tell someone you love them?

I want to do something very romantic. My best on-line friend of 9 years is coming to visit me for the first time ever in person. We both know how we feel about each other, but we're doing this meeting to kind of make it all really "real".



She knows I like to sing, but also knows I won't sing in front of her, because it's harder for me to sing to people I care about than people I don't. (It's kinda like "I don't know you, so I don't care what you think, but if I DO know you, I want to impress you and if you're staring at me, I'm gonna get nervous and suck, ya know?) anyway...



I thought about finding the perfect time, late in the evening, just before the sun goes down, taking her up on the bridge, over the river, giving her her favorite kind of flowers and singing this song to her:

that is very sweet and romantic. and if it's something that comes natural to you, go for it.

i myself would just say it, simply say it as it is "i love you" and let the message be the main thing and not the way in which it's delivered.

If she feels the same way about you, then she won't be critical about your singing. Trust me, if she's in love with you and you recited the alphabet to her, she'd dig it.

I know what you mean about getting nervous to sing in front of her but if she really likes you she will understand that if you do get a little nervous is because she means a lot to you, maybe you could even say the real reason why you might be a little nervous, I think she will feel special knowing you care so much about her that you want to bring the best of you to impress her and please her.

Seems to me everything is all set up to be a very romantic evening, don't forget to make eye contact!
