Does anoyone have feelings about them being The Death Flower? We have some lining our driveway, and another HUGE bush in our backyard. I'm not big on flowers, and have never nurtured these things, but they grow in droves every March/April. So last year I gave several bunches to my next door neighbor, and it took a while for her to tell me she doesn't really care for flowers. She worked in the floral dept at our Safeway, so I never thought about it.
She had a miscarriage in November and their new puppy died of Parvo a few weeks later. *sigh*
I'm not one to believe in stuff, but just two days ago, a friend told me about the lilies being the death flower.
Substance? And maybe I'll post this elsewhere. Like I said, I don't buy into much...Thanks
One for gardeners; or maybe for P%26amp;S: calalilies?
urban legend
they are given at funerals because they ARE gorgeous flowers, but they make nothing happen
Reply:It's a silly superstition! They will not cause a miscarriage nor have I ever heard of them called the death flower
